American Made

Tom Cruise stars in this wild true story about pilot Barry Seal, who teamed up with the CIA, Pablo Escobar, amongst others, during the Cold War to run drugs, guns and money across country boarders. It is directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow), and also stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright, and Jesse Plemmons.

The Counselor (2013)

Helmed by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Gladiator) and scripted by legendary novelist Cormac McCarthy (The Road, No Country for Old Men), The Counselor tells the violent story of a lawyer in love who gets into dealings with the Mexican drug cartel and other merciless criminal figures to build a good life for himself and his wife — but soon must find a safe way out. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem.
